Sleepless Inc. Spirit Sprites

DESCRIPTION:

This is a set of 8 pixel art sprites that were created by Joe Hitchens many years ago for a game project that never materialized.  It was supposed to be a game about spirituality or emotions.

They are, in order of appearance in the GIF file (left to right, top to bottom):

    Love
    Hate
    Joy
    Despair
    Peace
    Berzerker
    Life
    Death

NOTES:

The icons appear many times in the file.  Those places where you see the 2 or 3 different colors in various places surrounding the icons were used by special tools that loaded and scanned the file.  Those special color registers were used to indicate the boundaries of the sprite, the x and y offsets relative to the top left corner for positioning the sprite, and as a way to magically group them into animation lists so that only a single image was needed all in one automated process.
